Amplifier Amp
A buffer amplifier using op-amp, what happens if the input voltage is greater than the supply voltage?

we know-op amp saturates at the supply voltage when the product of a gain and the input is greater than supply is + /-12V I want to know the amplifier output when the input buffer is greater than the saturation voltage

The range of input voltage is usually specified by the chain of common mode input and should be in the range of power or less, sometimes considerable (Up to half the supply in some). It's a good idea to have series current limiting resistors too if the inputs are far removed from the tension, so that the high current does not pass through the clamping diodes. See internal circuit of a Bipolar Op-Amp as a 741 on its data sheet for understanding. Some JFET input op-amps can have outside entrances Food in reason, and did not clamp diodes. The effect of driving beyond the range specified entry depends on the type of device individual, knowing that there are different input circuits, but such effects are latchup (can be catastropic in some models older), reversing the input polarity, loss of open loop gain, loss of common mode rejection and power. The point is that a circuit will not behave as expected. A buffer amplifier output is driven to saturation when the gain closed-loop input signal x exceeds the limits of output voltage, which are often specified one or two volts below the supply rails. This is just the amplifier saturates as long as the entries remain in the specified range. This is a specification different from the specification of input voltage. When the output is full of the loop can not operate as a closed loop back - the loop is broken. However if the output is just driven into saturation than reader input for the gain, the output signal is just cut. The highs and lows are cut AC signals. Upon entry back and forth loop closes and everything works as expected.
